As a local Insurance Brokers and Financial Advisers we like to do our bit to help good causes. Each year our staff and Directors choose a Charity of the Year. The nominations are put forward and then put to the vote. Overwhelmingly in 2010/11 we decided to support The Arthur Rank Hospice, which also coincided with their 30th anniversary.
All charities do great work but we feel the work they do is invaluable to the local community and their aim “to make every moment count” is so important to families and friends of the terminally ill.
The Hospice believes in not just looking after the patients but offers support and advice to families and carers. This has been invaluable to some of our members of staff who have loved ones that have needed the special care of the hospice.
We find the Charity’s proactive approach to fund raising amazing, the team as so keen and willing to help. In the past we have entered a team into the Star Shine Stroll, the event was so well organised and our team had a great time, despite being slightly tired after walking 10 miles! Look out for the 2012 team on the night!
